Established in 1998, Bernard Dodman’s Upholstique has worked for over 15 years providing an extensive range of designs suitable for hospitality, healthcare, institutional, government and residential use.
We pride ourselves on vigilantly maintaining total in-house quality control procedures and sourcing quality, Australian made, raw materials. We combine this with superb local craftsmanship to bring you the finest in ergonomic comfort.
All of our Victorial ash timber chairs are manufactured from plantation grown, select grade, kiln dried Victorian ash timber and is sourced from the hills of Victoria by the Neville Smith Group who maintain and manage their forest to minimise wastage and maximise end use of the lumber felled.
OUR QUALITY CONTROL
Our combination of design and quality manufacturing processes, ensures the Upholstique product is well suited for heavy use and high traffic areas in commercial spaces.
Chair frames are constructed using a state of the art manufacturing process. Mortise and tenon joints are used to ensure the products structural performance exceeds your expectations.
All show wood timber is polished with 3 coats of lacquer. In between each coat, the frame is sanded to attain the smoothest natural luster. When a colour stain is applied, we use a fade resistant, turps based stain that is hand applied and given time to infuse down into the timber grain.
Our frames are overlaid with superior, high density, Australian made foams for maximum comfort and long term resilience.
Our cushion support system is fitted to an independent seat plate and made from quality Black Cat webbing which is Italian made and comes with a 10 years warranty.
